Someone needs to smack the schedule makers until they spread the games out better.

They do this tomorrow as well, which is even worse.

As an SDSU fan who was planning a watch party, I want to smack the schedule makers for giving us a 9 AM start time. Meanwhile most of our games this season have started at 7 or 8 PM pacific

u/StoopSign Northwestern Wildcats • UNC Ashev… 9d ago

Lmao 9am on a Saturday. Hopefully they schedule better in the next round. Congrats.

u/stirod NC State Wolfpack • Oklahoma Sooners 9d ago

When I lived out in San Diego, made me realize how east coast centric everything is. It's tough for you guys sometimes.

5

u/Truth_overdose San Diego State Aztecs 9d ago

Sometimes I feel that, though I don't envy you guys for the games that start at 7 PM pacific on a week night.

I am watching the islanders sharks game and its 12:15 and its the middle of the second intermission

I apparently slept walked yesterday and I don’t intend to do that again

u/54415250154 8d ago

Honestly I prefer the way we have it

1

u/polynomials Michigan Wolverines • Syracuse Orange 9d ago

The country spans 4 time zones and most people live on one side of the country what do you want lol

u/rocket_league69 8d ago

SDSU must be going crazy ran now. I went to SDSU for 2 years until I transferred when I was in college and have great memories there

10

u/ScarecrowBoat14 South Carolina Gamecocks 9d ago

Unfortunately anyone who’s on this subreddit is not their target audience lol it’s all about maximizing the casual viewership

15

u/nypr13 Northwestern Wildcats 9d ago

I am old and have kids, so I dont watch anything anymore like I used to. So don’t kill me for this question: does Gus Johnson no longer announce this games? Why not? Since when?

19

u/moyboi2112 Ohio Bobcats 9d ago

He’s a fox guy, not a cbs/turner guy like he used to be

He calls Big East and B1G games during the regular season and the BE tourney

7

u/nypr13 Northwestern Wildcats 9d ago

Thats a bummer. I like the Kevin Harlan guy for sure but Gus be Gus

1

u/eiileenie Ohio Bobcats 8d ago

Happy cake day fellow bobbie

1

u/moyboi2112 Ohio Bobcats 8d ago

Thanks!

It made me feel old when I looked it up and he hasn't done a NCAA tournament game in 12 years.

u/TanClark Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

Going chalk today, any upset to actually contemplate?

18

u/fancycheesus Arkansas Razorbacks 9d ago

You could cheer for Arkansas ☺️👉👈

2

u/TanClark Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

I think I am but idk about betting against Kansas

3

u/polynomials Michigan Wolverines • Syracuse Orange 9d ago

what did you decide lol

2

u/TanClark Texas Tech Red Raiders 8d ago

Took Kansas dammit

1

u/peterpeterllini Missouri Tigers 9d ago

I’m the biggest Arkansas fan tonight

2

u/PigDigginGold Arkansas Razorbacks 8d ago

Thank you SEC bro. It’s been quite the year in the conference of scrappy teams.

It is also a home game for auburn. Auburn crowd is gonna come alive fast and hard so houston will have to go 100mph all 40 mins.

I actually would bet money on Auburn to win. Houstons athleticism and physicality isn't gonna stun an sec team. I think Houston may get shell shocked from getting hit back in front of a hostile crowd

2

u/booger_dick Houston Cougars 9d ago

All of what you said was true except the hostile crowd bit. Our only losses this year before the conference championship were at home. This team plays better on the road.

1

u/aMiracleAtJordanHare Auburn Tigers • Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

It is also a home game for auburn.

Are the games sold individually or as whole-day tickets?

B/c if the latter, remember that Alabama plays in the same building after us, so I actually think it could be closer to 50-50 support for us.

2

u/fancycheesus Arkansas Razorbacks 9d ago

R64 games were sold as sessions. First 2 games and second 2 games I believe

1

u/aMiracleAtJordanHare Auburn Tigers • Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

What about second round, do you know?

3

u/bamasts9 Alabama Crimson Tide 9d ago

One ticket for both games. There were a good bit of us on Thurs, but your crowd was awesome anyways.

7

u/Total_Customer_6627 Kansas Jayhawks 9d ago

I want PSU to smack the shit out of UT.

3

u/tigernike1 Illinois Fighting Illini 9d ago

Penn State is a dangerous team. They could make it to the Elite Eight, easily. They got hot at the right time.

3

u/That_One_Pancake Penn State Nittany Lions • Arizona S… 9d ago

Not used to hearing these words about my team

1

u/TanClark Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

Believe me I do too

2

u/moyboi2112 Ohio Bobcats 9d ago

Wait, but aren’t you bitter rivals?

0

u/TanClark Texas Tech Red Raiders 9d ago

I prefer UT to get smacked every day of the week

1

u/Total_Customer_6627 Kansas Jayhawks 9d ago

Guns up baby

2

u/pmwhitehead Tennessee Volunteers 9d ago

What the fuck is this CBS Chuckstop bit

5

u/swaggerific California Golden Bears 9d ago

How did FDU get in if they didn’t win their conference tournament? Were they an at large bid? I thought all at large bids went to the top X teams in the country.

11

u/inshamblesx Houston Cougars • Texas Southern Tige… 9d ago

Merrimack was too new to D-1 like Bellarmine was last year

1

u/swaggerific California Golden Bears 9d ago

Thanks!

4

u/somebodysbuddy Lehigh Mountain Hawks • Patriot 9d ago

The NCAA does not allow teams transitioning to different divisions to participate in tournaments for 4 seasons. This year is Merrimack's fourth season. Merrimack won the tournament, so they autobid went to the runner up.

2

u/swaggerific California Golden Bears 9d ago

Thanks!

Hell of a year Michigan had. Juwan Howard for COTY

-5

u/hachikocarlotta 9d ago

Are the TN players involved in recent shooting able to play?

1

u/Eduardjm 9d ago

I watch zero CBB. Who are the top prospects ready to make the leap to the league to watch this weekend?

1

u/clintrogers88 9d ago

Good thing zebras got involved all fucking day. Fucking stupid as fuck. Fuck Arkansas

1

u/PigDigginGold Arkansas Razorbacks 8d ago

Yeah for real, our win should have been larger if the refs had been fair. But hey that’s the madness amma’right.

1

u/christ0fer Missouri Tigers • North Carolina Tar… 9d ago

Wide open threes and a lack of rebounding. This game is over.

1

u/Comfortable-Sir-150 9d ago

Auburn over Houston, Princeton over Mizzou. Wtf is happening

1

u/Ok_Boysenberry2713 9d ago

Auburn should not have a home game against a one seed.

1

u/justjoshingu 9d ago

Has there ever been a tournament where 3 number 1 seeds have been put before the 16?

1

u/NFL_MVP_Kevin_White 8d ago

I really think YouTubeTV could do a lot better with this multi view if they were actively producing it so we didn’t get stuck with commercials as the primary audio/video. It can’t be that hard to swap to a two-game or single-game view during halftimes and stoppages.
