Was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Silverstone and caught this moment live!
🙌 HAMtastic! Don’t know if this has been posted yet here but this is the coldest video I’ve seen yetinstagram.com
As the title says, what are your expectations for next year regarding Hamilton’s performance.
For me, not counting how the W14 will turn out, I hope Lewis doesn’t get saddled with testing sessions and do what he did this year. They really shaped his season, where he had to test stuff meaning he would start at the middle of the grid, fail to make easy qualifying sessions and overall got in unnecessary accidents because of it.
I also want Hamilton to focus more on beating Russell, that means racing him a little harder and making him earn his keep. Hamilton definitely didn’t fight Russell at all this year. He let him had all the glory. To me, he can’t get beat two years in a row.
How about you?

Lewis Helmeton Favourite Lewis Hamilton helmet thread. Mine will always be this one because of the places he wore it in and what it represents
Yes the car wasn’t good. Yes he lost from his teammate. But you know what? I don’t have any problem. He proved his sportsmanship in the start of the year when he was sacrificed for the setups, he was unlucky so many times, but still had amazing races and amazing performances. 10 podiums, 13-9 in qualifying, humble always and gained more respect from neutral fans who hated him last season. I’m very proud of him. After 15 years in Formula1 he is allowed to loose from a teammate, he has nothing to prove, he kept his head down and that’s why next year will be so much better. We will definitely see a win from him and in general Mercedes will improve. STILL WE RISE 💜
I'm not sure how many here have been fans of Lewis for 2007.
I've been following F1 since Coulthard used to play the #2 role for Mika.
I know 2022 wasn't the best year for us.
But consider this.
2007 this guy was close to winning the championship the very first year he came into F1.
2008 he did it.
We then had to wait for half a decade before he went onto break records.
So those 5 years were absolutely testing.
The 2009 McLaren was an absolute shitbox until developments came in later in the year.
2010 was a mixed bag, the car failed Lewis a few times and Lewis made mistakes a few other times. Was left disappointed again.
2011 was the biggest test for Lewis in terms of personal and professional factors. He had in the previous year fired his father as his manager, on and off relationship with the then girlfriend, massa squirmishes on track and the infamous post race Monaco interview.
2012 saw a new Lewis who had now looked to have sorted out his shenanigans and was on course for a good season, and just then you know it, the car was absolutely unreliable. Singapore retirement was the turning point in Lewis's career. Then it was announced that Lewis was quitting McLaren and moving to fill the spot left vacated by the then 7 time Champion re-retiring. The media had an absolute field day, calling the move nothing more than a money minded one rather than one that would give him professional success, not just the media but the entire F1 fraternity and the McLaren garage went onto criticize him.
2013 was the preparatory season with the Hybrid era looming in the background.
Red Bull had all the success since 2010 till 2013. That lone win for Lewis at Hungary was nothing more than a mere consolation, he would've won Silverstone too if it wasn't for the infamous tyre bursting bonanza of a race.
2014 the year of reckoning. Five years of challenges and mediocrity culminated into this absolutely dominating season by the team and Lewis. Even coming into the last race with double points the Championship was anyone's, and it was meant to be Lewis's.
Let's stop here. Here you have 5 years of tumultuous hardships endured by Lewis before he got to be a Champion again.
2016 he lost, then he won again, again, again and again.
2021 we all know by this time what happened let's not go there, 2022 - thank you W 13 for humbling us fans again.
So here's to 2023.
Will it be tough? You bet it will be!
Will Lewis get tougher? HELL YEAH!
IMO he doesn't have anything to prove to anyone no more. But let's kick some more ass anyway.
Still We Rise!
What was your favourite race of this depressing season? No wins, but there was a lot teases and excitements along with it.
My favourite race is Abu Dhabi because it was the last race of the season, and it meant the last time I have to watch the W13. It was even better because Lewis DNF’d a bit early to put me out of my misery. It such a relief that the race and ultimately season was over. I felt happy about it.
IT EEZ WAT IT EEEEZ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I want to see Lewis on top again, yet I somehow feel relieved after this season
So obviously, this season was hard for whole LH team and Mercedes fans in general. Yet I have to admit this was pretty chill season for me and I enjoyed this break. For sure I want to see Lewis at the top but after season 2021 where I was stressed at every race at all the time just thinking: "Let's have a good start, Careful with that overtake, Just 5 more laps engine will have to make it, Is this the right strategy?, Are we going to catch him/He is getting close, Please let this backmarker not to be an idiot and let Lewis by" And after all of that the season ended as heartbreak for obvious reasons. So for me, this season was a bit more chill, when I could just enjoy it and not to be stressed out all the time. I don't know if you know what I mean but I just have to say it. But still I want to sea Lewis bringing that eight title home. Even if it will be stressful. Let's make the 2023 the best one yet
For him to lose the second place on the championship. That's awesome!!
That is the only good news of the season
Wow. Terrible Mercedes strategy, forced off the track and getting penalized, random reliability issue. This is a season for the ages. This season was garbage and as unlucky as Alonso in terms of out of control factors dictating results. Russell getting overtaken with a slower car but still gets more points.
