Custom flairs: here are three ways to obtain a custom flair:

Hi all,

Most MMA fans who follow the UFC rankings system have been less than enthused at the accuracy and fairness to fighters. And there's no current quantifiable methods regarding the accuracy of judges.

For the last several years, myself and other mods have kicked around the idea of creating a ranking system but due to many different factors, we were simply unable to bring it to fruition.

However, instead of trying to create a system as a mod team, I thought it would make more sense to reach out to the community to see who all has the skill, as well as the interest, to pull this off.

So what would we be ranking? Great question!

• The general idea is to create a model that will create a minimum of a top 10 ranking for each division, and a P4P list, with additional rankings to be added later. One idea for this model would potentially include direct input from r/MMA posters directly scoring the rounds in real time to assist the model.

• I would also like to create a ranking system of MMA judges. This would create an ELO rating of sorts, but also would identify judges who show significant deviation in round-by-round scoring, to help identify judges who are consistently incompetent, and those who do a very good job. The goal here is to help quantify good and bad judging, to help improve accountability.
