I've seen a plethora of unattractive conservative men, especially the hyper-"conservative" types that have such an issue with seeming gay they don't wash properly. Also the lazy keyboard warriors that sit on their asses arguing with strangers online about what people deserve equality and to what extent. Admittedly though, the extreme cases of the latter also tend to be the former too.

Short Trump timeline: - pays nearly $100,000 to put ads in to reinstate death penalty, Central Park Five referenced, 1989 - âI am strongly in favor of the death penalty. I am also in favor of bringing back police forces that can do something instead of just turning their back because every quality lawyer that represents people that are in trouble said the first thing they do is to start shouting âpolice brutality,â etc.â Trump stated to Larry King, May 17, 1989 - [Trump] discussed a separate rape and assault case that occurred in Brooklyn, saying he was asked by a reporter if he had compassion for the perpetrator. âI said, âOf course I hate these people and letâs all hate these people because maybe hate is what we need if weâre gonna get something done,'â he said. - A reporter asked Donald Trump if he would apologize to the Central Park Five in June, 2019, shortly after the release of the Netflix series, âWhen They See Us,â a dramatization of the Central Park 5 case. Watch Trump answer the question here. âWhy do you bring that question up now? Itâs an interesting time to bring it up,â Trump said. âYou have people on both sides of that. They admitted their guilt.â - âThe Central Park Five documentary was a one sided piece of garbage that didnât explain the.horrific crimes of these young men while in park,â Trump wrote on Twitter April 24, 2013. - Trump Wrote an Op-Ed in the Daily News in 2014 Saying âSettling Doesnât Mean Innocence - Central Park Five Article - 1987-1988: Trump considers a run for president, while simultaneously juggling large debts stemming from his purchase of the Taj Mahal casino. (He had 2 casinos within minutes directly competing against one another). - 2000: Trump enters the presidential race as a Reform Party candidate and receives more than 15,000 votes in the party's California primary. - 2003-2004: Trump begins hosting the reality show The Apprentice on NBC, which he also executive-produces. He again mulls a run for president, but ultimately decides not to join the race. - March 2011: A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows Trump leading all presidential contenders, including Mitt Romney. - April 2011: Amid more research polls indicating that he would be the preferred Republican presidential candidate among voters, Trump repeatedly calls for President Obama to release his long-form birth certificate, questioning whether Obama was actually born in the United States. (Obama eventually complies and releases the birth certificate.) - May 2011: Trump officially announces that he will not run for president. - February 2012: Trump endorses Republican candidate Mitt Romney for president. - 2013: Trump forms a presidential exploratory committee and, despite a strong backing from Republican voters, announces that he has no interest in running for governor of New York in 2014. - June 2015: Trump formally announces that he's running for president in a speech delivered from Trump Tower in New York City. Almost immediately, corporations and individuals that have partnerships with Trump - including Macy's, NBC and Univision - begin to sever ties with the mogul because of disparaging comments he made about Mexicans in the speech announcing his candidacy. I engaged in a 15 year social experiment at my place of work. In the break room, there were two televisions at opposite sides. Not surprisingly, the right side was tuned in to Fox while the left side was tuned in to CNN or MSNBC. On my breaks, I would sit in the middle and watch my co-workers reactions to what they were viewing.
Murdoch's strategy was to bombard the viewer with audible refrains of terror and fear along with visual crawlers (one read: Mother's milk is toxic, for example), while combining this with waving flags, blonde women, and calls for nationalistic pride. He applies the dopamine rush incrementally and progressively, so that what would have appeared to even conservatives as fascist and reactionary 15 years ago now feels like the norm. The Fox viewer would typically leave the break room less calm and more angry than when they came in. Even the commercials were highly symbolic of something not right, they were peppered with erectile dysfunction ads and money schemes using patriotic imagery.
The left side of the room also experienced increase fear and anxiety, but there wasn't the raw visceral reaction that the Fox viewer would get. Fox poisons the mind terribly and created a very hostile inner narrative for its audience. In the final analysis, Murdoch was doing what Goebbels did, but over a very long period of time.

My buddy grew up in a smaller town. He said he grew up (in the 90s) hearing constantly that democrats were pure evil to be feared and hated. He went to college in the city and his mind was blown that that was not even remotely close to the case.
So there is truth to that. Right wing media/church has, for decades, told the right that the left are all evil people looking to destroy this country. It's creating a moral panic to gain support, something the continually do when they use the "the lefts war on...." bs. All the while, they are the party really doing the shit they blame the left for.
3
u/seansmithspam 10d ago
Yep. The leftâs main enemy is the mega rich 1%. The rightâs main enemy is the left. Conservatism in general is an ideology created and pushed by the richest people in order to maintain their status quo.
All centered around the idea that wealth is fairly distributed and fairly earned through merit. If conservatives didnât believe that specific thing, they would no longer be conservative.

Why a sissy? Weâll thatâs just another anti masculine put down. Why do they do it to themselves? Alpha status I guess?

But I believe in taking care of those in need; in paying your fair share; in giving back to community; in being accountable for your actions; in good faith attempts to make the word a better place; in dealing with the hard part of hard questionsânot just the easy parts; in protecting peopleâs freedoms; in holding those in power to a high standard; in having a finely tuned bullshit detector. So, Iâm a liberal. Because the modern conservative doesnât seem to care about those things.

There are preconceived notions about literally everyone and everything. Individually, people are all over the map.

I have a friend who never fails to remind me that if he didnât actually know me, he would assume I was MAGA. The only good part about it is that I donât have to suss out racists. They feel comfortable, until I call out their bs.

no she's thinking of the 'liberals' that fox news regularly talks about. the fictitious group that they claim all look like this.
obviously some people do dress like that, as evident by the photo i linked, but it's not a liberal thing.
edit: i rewrote my comment to make it clear i was pointing out the idea that every liberal dressed like the picture i linked is unrealistic.

Here, here. I like to lay low personally, so. Blending in is very easy(literally zero effort on my part). Finding another like-minded person around here is difficult though I don't seek them out, truthfully. Too entrenched in my life to move outta the hellscape of '24 stickers, flags and whatever bullshit they market to the smoothies next. Co-workers can be fun.....they say the darndest things when they think they are surrounded by hive mates.

Small business handy man here. Lotta people that don't really know me act shocked when I don't flat out agree with their conservative crap. They think because I'm working on a car or doing some plumbing I must be a "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" kinda guy. Nope. Closer to socialism than anything really.

Some dipshit conservatives i've met had their minds blown when they learned that I, a feminist socialist raver dude, drive a manual transmission car and do most of my own car and home repair. They couldn't comprehend that a progressive person could operate a gear shift, change a belt, or patch drywall. They've been so thoroughly programmed by fox news to dehumanize everyone outside of their conservative in-group that they're surprised when real-world progressives have the same basic life skills as everyone else.

Veteran to Electrician here. It's crazy how many conservative comments are openly shared with me assuming I agree with them. I'm not even THAT liberal, but when I reply with anything that doesn't align with their beliefs, I'm just the "snowflake from california"

I realize the irony of generalizing here, but these young, âattractiveâ , âconservativeâ women who always find themselves giving these interviews on camera have major PICK ME energy. I think they are intoxicated by the attention they get because they are big fish in a very small pond

This is staged:
Random dude in suit asks girl her political preference in men. She then goes on tirade about all liberal men having blue hair and painted nails, all while trying to keep her methy eyes open.

I thought it looked like some "edgy" Christian Youtuber doing a piece outside their church when it's just let out. Or after a young adult church group...
Maybe they had a sermon that day about what good husbands are like and he made it directly political outside afterwards.
Idk why, it just has that vibe to me.

Because all conservative men look like handsome cowboys at Chippendales and all liberal men must dye their hair and go under a lot of different types of body mods (tats, nails, piercings, etc.) Thereâs no possibility for variation here guys.

Do conservatives think literally everyone in a liberal city has blue hair?
Why do they focus so hard on the 0.000001% of the population that has blue hair?

That's ok, liberal men (like me) don't want you either. If you have never seen an unattractive conservative man, you have likely never stepped foot into the real world. Either that or you are into fat, alcoholic rednecks and old Facebook boomers.
P.S. I'd be willing to bet money this is totally scripted or set up.

Conservatives are so invested in their personality cult that they have created a fiction that they refrence as what a liberal is. This woman does not know what an actual liberal is.

Kind of odd how making it political causes her to think of these caricatures of what a liberal versus conservative man looks like. Too bad that we have been indoctrinated to suspend reasonable thought when it involves our political bias.

Ah yes, ugly blue-haired liberals like Jon Stewart, Barack Obama, and Henry Cavill. Much better to have Chris Christie, Elon Musk, and Ted Cruz. Totally not going to find a bunch of gravy SEALs at a Trump rally.... or Trump himself.
Things I totally believe about both sides: Both sides have some real lookers, and some real... nots.
