Thanks, mate. Just lost 10 minutes of life, looking at crappers.

I really enjoyed the BMW bog in the driver seat. Makes long road trips so much easier and more efficient

Ok but serious pro tip, if you need a new throne get a taller one. It's SO much more comfortable, especially for the marathon poops.

That sub sucks, half of the stuff there is pretty clear.

half of the stuff there is pretty clear.
Except being clear or confusing is not the fucking point of the sub
it's for signs/media that read as nonsense if read normally: from left to right.

Kubica will always be one of the biggest F1 'what if?'s to me. It's a shame we never got to see him race for Ferrari.
Also, damn BMW for halting the development of their title-challenging car midway

Right… still pains me to this day they gave up on the championship. His accident really robbed him of reaching his potential

He was the reason I first got into F1. I'm Polish, and my dad would watch every race because of Kubica. I really wish he got that championship :(

Exact same thing here. Also polish, me and my dad would wake up early (NA) on Sunday’s to cheer him on

Given how badly both Hamilton and Massa were trying to lose in 2008, I'm fairly sure that if Kubica had an equal car, he'd have won it. Half a season with a midfield car and still finished only 2 wins down.

Yeah, I wasn't watching F1 at the time and when I read years later that BMW had a shot at a title and they stopped developing their car I was dumbfounded. Still am. What's the point of focusing on developing your next year's car? To have a shot at the title. But they already did the previous year!

u/adoredfiece Lance Stroll 7d ago
It's because 2009 had new regulation changes, so they probably wanted to focus on that.

Heidfeld himself said they probably wouldnt have won the championship anyway.
BMW in the end only had a single win in 2008, it was a very chaotic season and one of the reasons why BMW was up there at times was because nobody was consistently performing.
2008 was basically everyone trying not to win the championship.

u/carhelpplz69 Charles Leclerc 7d ago
It's hard to tell. Most teams would have seen Robert leading almost halfway into the season and said "this is our chance let's go" and then put the pedal down. Also, the lack of effort in the second part of 2008 made Sauber lose some key personnel.

And even that was lucky. If Hamilton either isn't blind or rear ends him instead of Kimi they win none.

Somebody started watching F1 recently. Yes, he is not as fast as he once was, but the man was one of the best talents F1 has ever seen.
0
u/Scirzo Valtteri Bottas 7d ago
Hahaha! I've seen him live at his prime, sir. I've been watching this sport far longer than you assume. And you are right. He WAS one of the best there ever was. Unfortunately, he isn't anymore, though and there's loads of young new drivers wanting to step in and who deserve a chance. It's not personal. I genuinely like him. A lot. As a person and for the driver HE USED TO BE. Past tense. But he should make way for new blood.

u/Kkarmic Ferrari 7d ago edited 6d ago
They don't deserve a chance. If they want it, then they should be better than someone driving with one arm.
